Sun, 04/22/2007 - 02:18
so i know that everyone knows what im talking about if they can remember reading this :P i have a great memory unfortunately it is VERY SHORT!!! i can't remember anything. i forget a conversation while i am still having it. when im at work (and my job is to deal with the public) and i am giving directions to destinations or trying to make reservations i forget where they are wanting to go or the proper protocol for making the reservations. i also forget the simplest of words which then make me look like a fool because it looks like i don't know my job which i do. what on earth can i do to help this situation? its really quite frustrating. this is my rant... thank you for listening... or reading... or whatever.... :P

I seem to only forget the cool stuff. But, my memory if fried (memory and memory function). My IQ is the same and my concentration is the same. I talk slower becasue language needs very fine-tuned memory. I am learning to surrender into intuition more.

it has to be there somewhere

Same with me. My memory's gone somewhere and I'm struggling to find it. I've always had this nearly photographic memory of phone numbers..I still nearly have it, but honestly it's probably 20% of what it was. I used to be able to memorize 25 digit numbers. Even after 3 grand mal seizures my memory wasn't that bad. But eventually I started to literally stop in my tracks to remember what I was doing. I'm reputable for fixing computers and making web sites, then I notice the other day I wasn't able to do something that I considered easy....after 3 years of doing it. Then my friends begin teasing me about how the computer has 'kicked my ass'. And that they've never seen me not be able to fix a computer...And there I am embarrassed about my memory loss I can't explain. Just like a bunch of you guys..I find myself....forgetting mid sentence (like right now I just forgot what I was going to relate to you on) ...yeah..it was the fear of repeating yourself. They must be spiking that Dilantin with something

memory issues

I used to laugh at my memory issues until they've gotten alot worse. In addition, I've recently completed three months of cognitive therapy and it's only slightly improved. It's getting very concerning.
