Massachusetts General Hospital-2nd opinion

Wed, 05/09/2007 - 11:10
I am seeing a Dr. Andrew Cole at Massachusetts General Hospital at the beginning of June. He was recommneded to me by "gretat" here on this forum. I was told by the secretary to bring all EEG reports AND the actual recordings. Is there anything else that I can bring with me to aide the Epileptologist in my appointment?

wldhrt, I took my daughter to Massechuettes General Hospital for a consult with Dr. Coles' partner at the Epilepsy Services of MGH. We had a VERY positive expirence. The EEG reports and actual recordings are really all you need to bring. Best of luck to you. Lisa

I don't imagine there will be much else that you will be able to bring with you because they will do a much more detailed MRI and they will do a PET on you if they receive activity on the EEG. I really liked Dr. Cole and the other epileptologists that I worked with. The one that I see regularly at the current time is Beth and her knowledge and skill is above and beyond expected. I have seen other doctors and employees at the hospital for many things and can't say enough good things about them. I just recently had a left temporal lobectomy with removal of my hippocampus and part of my ampartus (i think). As I was saying the service that they did was the best service that I had receive and so far as good I have had a wonderful success from the surgery but then again it has been 3 weeks. I wish you the best of luck and if you should have any questions don't hestitate to email and ask. Good Luck.
