Long time no epilepsy.

I had epilepsy attacks when I was 11 years old, and I used medicament called Karpabin (Carbamazepin), now after about 8 years from when I stopped using this medicament I am starting to think that something is not right with my head, I am very curious about how brain works, and I noticed a few things that happens to me after that hard period of having epilepsy and using medicaments like Carbamazepin. I have short memory problems, and it is for example to make a wider picture of how something really works, because when I read or listen to something, I always miss and have some holes in that what I have listened/read/watched for example 1 hour before, also I feel depressed and lost even if I am with friends and family. I have to say that I am very tied to music, it really means to me a lot and it makes me feel so relaxed and happy. I noticed also that some important things in my past I cannot remember, also the dates, actors in movies, I think that it has do to with my attention and concentration. Is someone experiencing something like this in his adult years?
