Long Term Effects for Lamotrigine

Sun, 08/21/2016 - 14:16
I have been on Lamotrigine for the past year at 300MG per day. I have started to experience major mood swings, headaches and dizziness, anger problems as well as memory and attention issues. I'm starting to look into the long term effects of this medication but can't find much so I'm wondering if any one has any good information?

Oh Wow..I've been on Lamictal-Lamotrigine for many years. It works well.My Neurologist told me Epilepsy itself can cause memory problems.I take 500 mg a day.I don't know what normal is anymore,to tell you the truth.I continue to have real problems with my Epilepsy.I have 3 different kinds of seizures. Now,I take 1200 mg of Aptiome too.Ask your doctor. They really want you to have a great quality of life.Tell him/her that you need to try something different.I'm sure you know as well as I do that there are plenty of anti convulsants out there.
