Long Dormancy

Howdy! I was told growing up that I had seizures since I was 6 months old, some things were done to me to stop them, but over 30 years later, I had another seizure (Well, I didn't know until a friend with epilepsy commented on a random statement of "I bit my tongue last night..." with "Oh, you might have had a seizure!" so that was at the back of my mind for years. And, years, nothing happened until a few weekends ago, my girlfriend had a bloody rag and in tears, saying, "Are you okay???" "Yeah, I'm fine, why?" "You just had a seizure and you scared the cr*p out of me!" Later to find that the seizure happened for a few minutes and I didn't "return to reality" for another 20. Now, despite being on a med and being told to avoid excessive alcohol, stress, and keep up with decent sleep, I still have a slight worry / anxiety of having another. In the beginning, I joked about needing a service animal, but now I'm starting to wonder if I need to fix my budget to get one. Thanks for reading my rant :)
