living with epilepsy

I have Grand Mal seizures which have been controlled since 1997 with Mysoline and Lamictal. But I've also been diagnosed with Myoclonic seizures and am taking Clonazpam and I'm still having the jerking. What do I do to control them. Please help.

A person can have more then one type of seizure.  You need to discuss this issue with your neurologist. Coupling of medications does help but understand that too much medication is just as bad as too little. Most medication are designed to treat certain seizures. The testing doesn't stop there. They are then tested to see what other seizures they can treat as well as the medications they can be coupled with. Which means you may be over medicated. There is the possiability that raising the dosages of Mysoline and Lamictal could have brought your other seizures under control...
