Lived with Epilepsy for seven years & NOW WHAT???

Fri, 05/19/2006 - 14:05
For me the unpredictability & loose of control, being taken hostage by Epileptic seizures has totaly changed the ordinary life-style that we have been living for a long time. Prescription after prescriptions, dosages after dosages, EKGs after EKGs, from Neurologists to physicians & back to new neurologist seem to have consumed my life. While state & federal agencies like CA-Department of motor vehicles was very quick to SUSPEND & REVOKE my driver license for "LAPSES IN CONCIOUSNESS DUE TO NEULOGICAL DISORDER", and yet, the state & federal agencies DENY my eligibility for DISABILITY BENEFITS claiming "TAKING YOUR PRESCRIPTION ON TIME & COARSE CAN EASLY CONTROL YOUR EPILEPTIC SEIZURES", deliberatly ignoring I've been taking constantly growing dosages of the same or various prescription drugs or EKG tests or CT-SCANS for seven years. Thanks to the articles of Doctor John Barry, now I'm finally learning with the everyday realty of epileptic seizures, medications & depression. I already feel better. Best Reagrds, Ghebre
