Hi I read read and r was, and see I am not alone. I had 2 seizures back to back in 30 minutes. I lost consciousness. They flew me out to the hospital. My eeg showed activity. They put me on keppra and I had moodiness. O then went on keppra er and the moodiness is gone. I have had any more seizures and my eeg on Monday showed I was having activity. The report did say it was focal and it started on my left frontal. I'm really scared right now. I had been in good health but had A LOT of stress in the last 2 yrs. A LOT. then in Sept I had to have a stent put in The doctor said thank goodness,I didn't have a heart attack. I should be dead it was the widow maker artery. Then the seizurers. My family doesn't want me to talk about it and if I cry they get upset. I know, they are worried but I need support right now. Is it possible it was just a fluck? I was hoping to come off,the keppra but I don't see that happening. I see the doctor, next w÷k I got a copy of the test report that's hi ow I k night ow what it said. I don't even k night ow what to ask. I'm still in shock. Please help ppl me with questions for the doctor. Last time I was still in shock and didn't ask much. Thank all of you in advance for your help.

Someone can be in perfect

Someone can be in perfect health  and still get epilepsy. Epilepsy does not discriminate. As for your heart issue. Yours was an attack. Mine is different but it is still there. My epilepsy started when I was about 13. My irregular heart beat was found in 1998 many years after my epilepsy. Well I still have that irregular heart beat but now add A-fib with intermittent a-flutter to that,Now it is not a fluke. If both EEG's show activity then they both found activity. They both showed where in your brain they came from. That is the where the activity that caused your seizures was, The start of a seizure is an electrical discharge that hit wrong in your brain which caused a chain reaction. I was in good health. did everything everybody else did. But I also hit my head in a fall when I was 7yo. I lost consciousness for a few seconds. A concussion can and dose bleed at times which is what happened to me. That bleeding on my brain caused scar tissue. That scar tissue caused my epilepsy.Your family may be caught up in the stigma associated with epilepsy. I had a grand mal seizure back in 1963. I haven't had another one since then. But there are other seizures that a person can have other then the grand mal. Ever see someone you think is day dreaming?? absence seizures and focal seizures look like the person in them is day dreaming.Ask your questions. What happened?? What can be done to keep these from happening again? If a medication can be taken which it can how long will I need to take it? When will it show that it is working? Will it stop all of my seizures? Are there other seizures I can have? If I have another seizure what should we do? " I say we because it is you and your neurologist working together to control your seizures"

It is good that you are

It is good that you are sharing your story. I have had seizures since birth. The doctor told my mother that they believed that I bumped my head on her pelvic bone during delivery. I have been having seizures now for 52 years. I take keppra x xr and limictal xr every day. I have startle tonic clonic seizures. I wish you all the best and stay strong. Michael
