Lamotrigine and high blood pressure

I'm new to the forum, and was hoping you might be able to share your experiences with me.
I started on Lamotrigine (Lamictal) just over a year ago. Prior to starting the tablets my blood pressure was really good, however within a few months of starting my meds my blood pressure went through the roof.
I am convinced it is my tablets that are causing this however it isn't listed as a side effect, has anyone else experienced this?
My GP has done investigations and has not been able to identify a cause for the change in my blood pressure, and I am contemplating requesting a change of epilepsy medication to see if it is related.
Please share with me if you have had any similar experiences on lamotrigine.

My son is on lamotrigine for 2 month only and his lood preasure very high now and pulse rate 120 when he.s resting.Is anyone had changes in blood preasure after you came off lamotrigine?

I've been on lamictal for four months and starting at about the one month mark I started having high blood pressure. I'm taking it for bipolar so I'm safe to just quit. Why isn't this a listed side effect?

Hi Nomi,I've been on Lamotrigine for 10 months at 200mg daily after I had a seizure. Within the last month my blood pressure has gone up to worrying levels. It was controlled by amlodipene with a diastolic around 80 but is now around 150/95 day and night, and I have a slight headache much of the time.Is this the Lamotrigine or something else? I'm waiting for a Consultant's appointment to ask.Thanks,Tim
