Lamotrigine 100 mg and cataracts

Sun, 10/16/2016 - 15:11
I was just diagnosed with cataracts at 37. It's a diagnose that's unbelievable. Is there any side affects or any complications with that medicine. Before lamotrigine I was taking zonisimide 100 mg. My vision was kind of blurry it was mostly Just seeing street signs far away, objects was clear. Now with lamotrigine everything is blurry. During the night it's even worse. I know that lamotrigine side affects is blurryness but not cataract. My nurologest says it has nothing to do with it. Any replies would help ty.

cataracts at 37 <<<<< have you checked when a person can get cataracts??? Or are you thinking it is because of medicines?People have cataracts without taking meds and yes they can have surgery to remove them. Lenses for eyes can be replaced. Unlike years ago.So I do not think it is the medications you have taken that caused them They show up with age for many and 37 has some age .
