Keto diet and exogenous ketone supplementation

Hi. I was talking to someone whose friend's daughter has terrifying grand mal seizures. I do not have epilepsy but recently have started a health supplement with exogenous ketones. (I am taking it for sustained energy, mental focus, and fat loss.). When I researched this supplement, I found a lot of research supporting a strict Keto diet to prevent seizures. Am wondering if this supplement could help (instead of such a restrictive diet) but don't want to give her false hope. Does anyone have experience with it? For full disclosure, I am a promoter of the product so I'm not posting the name of it because I don't want to seem like an advertising post. I'm just curious if anyone has had success with ketone supplementation and seizure control? Thanks in advance.
