Keppra Control & Withdrawal?

Wed, 04/22/2015 - 18:45

I have been on Keppra 500mg for seizures since 2011. I am 16 now. I haven't had a seizure since about 2012. I am aware of what Keppra rage is, but it doesn't seem like I have it. Is it possible that I have control of it? My mood is generally always laid back, sometimes I think of it as a bad thing. I am most likely going to withdraw from the drug at the end of the year, which will take a while. How does withdrawal go physically and mentally, will my mood be different when I'm off it? Also I always have so much energy, I can't tell if that's just me or the pill causing it.

Kepprage is a side effect of some people who took keppra. There are people that will have side effects. I have been in drug studies and if a person does research they will find out that 5-8% of the people taking the medication has side effects. They are the ones that post about medications being bad. You will rarely see a post from the 92-95% that aren't having a problem with their medications. You may have more energy but I am not a doctor. I do know that it will take 4-6 weeks after you have stopped taking the medication the therapeutic levels to be normal again
