Is it a Seizure or am I just plain LOSING it??????

I have a hard time understanding if I have had a seizure or after affects of medication. I have complex partial seizures and am challenged in determining what is a seizure and when I am just plain losing it! Some seizures are evident: noises become distorted, confusion takes over, fatigue follows, excessive sensitivity to most everything to the point that you want to be left alone in a quiet room and not be bothered. Other times, I feel a bit displaced and overwhelmed, like a panic attack, but I realize that what appears to present itself as a panic attack may actually be a seizure. How do you know? Does anyone else feel this way? What the HE(double hockey sticks) is going on with my brain?? Sometimes it seems as though I was better before they put me on all this yucky medication. If you're still going to have seizures, then what is the point in taking it?

Hey I have complex-partial and grand-mal seizures. Can I ask you what do you do (side affects) during your seizure. I have complete black out, and a little numbness. What happens when you have a seizure is that your brain has an overload of "messages" it is sending to the same place and you brain tries to stop but it is usually to late. When you have a complex-partial only half of your brain is used to produce this seizure. Grand-mal uses all of your brain to produce the seizure. Any other questions reply back or...... I hope I helped you out some how!! .......If you have any personal questions then e-mail me at autumnrexcell_epilepticlife@yahoo.com Just Remember that "Normal is just a setting on the washing machine, and people that have Epilepsy are far from normal!!!!!" ;

My symptoms during an apparent seizure are highly distorted noises - for example, the wind chimes outside would become so loud it was like they were right next to me and the water in the fish tank was very loud, but the TV in the room was like it was far away in another room. I can also lay in the bedroom and hear my husband shredding paper in the cross-cutter and it seems like he is right there in the room with me, but in reality,he is on the other side of the house. I can't think or process anything except to know and feel I need to be somewhere where it is quiet. My eyes flutter a bit and I am disoriented. Strange part about it all, is I realize it's happening but am unable to control it or communicate it. I do have a bit of an aura, of sorts, in that I know when I am vulnerable and suseptible to having a seizure. You can email me directly as well if you like at: michelle@friscowindowear.com thanks for your reply. ;-)
