I'm about to have another episode

Wed, 02/21/2007 - 21:57
I can feel one coming on. They start w/butterflies in my stomach & get off balance & a tingling in my head & i think slower. I'm having the hardest time typing this...I keep having to go back & fix typos. I hope this makes sense when I get through with it! lol My dr. isn't sure if what I'm having are some type of seizures or confusional migraines (which from what i understand are extremely rare in adults, I'm 29). But I can gradually tell it's getting worse. By the time what ever this thing is fully hits, i won't be ablee to talk. I get extremely confused & it feels like my brain is detached from my body, it's like my body doesn't understand what my brain is trying to tell it to do. That'll last about 10 minutes then I'll be very tired. Ok, I'm gonna stop typing & post this now 'cause it's about to start. I hope someone else reaadinjg this recognnises these sympomts & can help m e out! SSorry if thsi got hard to read. :)

Hi, I can relate a little bit to your symptoms of the butterflies in your stomach and the not knowing what is going on really, but do you also get like a sort of de ja vue when it happens? and thne at teh end a rush of like feeling or unrealism over you? or headaches afterwards? i get those and im pretty sure i have temporal lobe epilepsy. i hope this helped it a little!! dessi

Thank you for the reply dessi! I get deja'vu quite often but it's never associated with my episodes. I do get headaches before & after. The headaches normally last a day or two. They are never the excruciating migraine headaches that i've experienced in the past though. I also have sensitivity to light. I've had an MRI, CT & blood work. All of those were normal. I had an ambulatory EEG which showed abnormal activity. I'm now waiting on a VEEG, which should happen within the next month.
