I went to the Dr.

Wed, 06/14/2006 - 13:04
I went to the Doctor yesterday. My appointment was @ 9:15 but I didn't get to see her until 11:30! Her little girl had stuck a rock up her nose and she was at the ER all night. Anyway.... I told her that I was having these new, different "feelings" and explained about when I was talking to my mom on the phone and the next thing I knew I was sorting laundry...then my left hand and foot kind of locked up and I was crying for no reason. She said it is partial seizures. I had 10 (partials and tonic clonics) in 2 months. She raised my dilantin to 400 (which is too high) and put me on 500mg Depakote. I have never taken this before. So now I am on Dilantin, Depakote, Buspar, Prozac, and Fiorecet. Whew, think thats all of them. She told me that my memory problems and mood swings were just the result of so many seizures and that I didn't need to beat myself up over being unable to remember things because I'm not like everybody else and I can;t do what they can do. What else can I do if it is effecting my job but worry? Thanks for listening.
