how long to you have to be siezure free?

im in group therapy and one of my counselors said i was better.enough to get my license.but what about my epilepsy.how long do you have to be seizure free?i was seizure free for 5 years and had a seizure.my medicine is still working the doctor said.i think im going to give it one more year.is that long enough?because of my parents.can i get a restricted drivers licens at my age?or does anybody know?

where i come from i had to go seizure free for 2 years before i could go for driver's ed. then i had to have about a million forms filled out by my doctor saying that i'm ok to drive. THEN i had a seizure 11 months after i got my license so it was revoked for a year a half before i could get it back. once i got it back i had a nother one and lost it again. i just gave up with trying to get it back... i walk now
