How to deal with Driving

Mon, 01/29/2007 - 12:27
So I went to a second neurologist today after being disatisfied with my first. He verified what the initial diagnoses was, but he ordered another EEG just to be doubly sure, and he adressed my absence spells. Sometimes I'll go through the mail sort it out, and set it down then completely forget that I'd done it. I get in this haze. Anyways, he's not sure of whether or not this is seizure activity, but he thinks that it may be. HOWEVER, since I'm still classified as having seizure activity, I'm not supposed to be driving...at all. I work about two miles away, and I don't see a huge problem in the commute. After all, I don't lose consciousness, and I don't have any activity unless I'm very tired. I make a point of singing along to music when I do the drive to avoid any distraction etc. Now I'm afraid to drive at all. I don't want to risk losing my license by driving around right now, but I have to work. My town has no public transportation system, and carpooling isn't an option since those I work with don't know me, and don't live near me. How do you deal with the driving issue?

Do you live in the same city as your family?

I do not drive either. I am lucky enough to have my husband drive me to work (he works down the street)
