help with myoclonus

Fri, 02/27/2015 - 07:44

Good friends,

Ive been bothered by myoclonus since October.Mine started suddenly mostly with shoulder shrugs and arm jerks.Later I seemed to go into a sudden spasm while walking mostly inside .I sort of suddenly feel like Im falling but recover almost as fast as it comes on.I also get sort of a wave feeling before these come.

I'm also a Parkinson patient. This condition is rare in PD and maybe connected with something else.I did have blood work down with nothing showing up that would point to myoclonus. No eeg yet until they get bad again

I.ve found some triggers like too much caffeine, lack of good sleep and poor diet exasperates these symptoms.I've cut back on caffeine got better sleep from it and make sure i have a better diet low on sugar. So far I have had improvment of this disorder

If any of you have found other ways to cut down on myoclonus events feel free to add here
