hello, my name is jacob, i have random muscle twitches/spasms in my legs, face, arms and sometimes have severe outbreaks of intense "shaking" maybe a conscious seizure? i have had 2 "unconscious" seizure and my last one was about 6-9 months ago but i still get the random muscle twitches and spasms and severe shaking... after the last seizure my family and i thought it was something called.... i forgot the name, but it dealt with blood pressure either increasing or decreasing fast.. then i looked back on my life and remembered all of these random spasms/twitching and then after the first seizure is when the severe shaking began... i REALLY need answers.. Do i want to waste hours on end setting up appointments and it ending up being nothing or go through all that just to tell me i have something and try to give me medicine i'm not going to take... do any of you think its a HIGH HIGH chance i have epilepsy?

OK the place to start is on this site. Look at the types of seizures. There are some that have muscles jerking. Yes a person can have a seizure and not lose consciousness. But the 2 you had where you lost consciousness If there was muscle spasms those could be convulsions. Which would make id a grand mal (tonic-clonic) seizures. So you need to start by talking to your regular doctor about these. Discuss all the different things that you have experienced. He may refer you to a neurologist. OR he might prescribe medications that can stop those twitches and jerksI hope this helps and you get the assistance you needJoe
