Headaches and seizures

Tue, 03/21/2006 - 14:51
Hi, Joyce here, Since I was diagnosed with P.N.E.S., my two biggest triggers to my seizures are headaches and stress. The longer I have a headache the more seizures I seem too have. When my stress management techniques don't work then I get high blood pressure and the seizures start hitting me. I am curently trying to make a decision as to rather I want to get yet another new Doctor or not. The one I have is not a very good one and does not believe in keeping me on the same medications as the doctor I had before. I had to visit her three different times in one week just for her to finally give me ear medication hat would work, and she has not read much from my file the last doctor sent her, she has no idea about the type of seizures I have. So I am going on 8 months with no medication, I am lucky if I get 4 hours of sleep a night and the headaches are becomming more frequent. Trusting any Medical Proffesional(Nurse or Doctor) has been very hard for me. I have mood outbursts, and feelings that I am frustrated with because I can not find the correct words to describe how I am feeling, not alone understand why they are there too begin with. I am feeling a bit responsible for having someone leave the support group, I am sad by this and am very sorry, I should not have even replied to her remarks and just blown it off and maybe she would not have been asked too leave. I am not a violent person, I am a people person who has not been able too deal with being alone and I enjoy making new friends. I think that if you have a specialist who rreally takes the time to research your disorder, listens to your concerns and gives you and your family productive ideas as too help is by far not seen anywhere that I have been yet, If you have one of these specialists in your life that is making a difference, then you are most lucky indeed. I live in Oregon and have not been able to find one yet and wish that I could. Well for now my friends, I must get back to my studies... take care Joyce
