Has anyone else experienced this?

Hi. I'm a 25 year old male who was diagnose with epilepsy at the age of 12. I was lucky because medication kept it in check until a couple of years ago. I'm currently in Japan and I've been having some weird experiences. I don't speak the language so unfortunately I can't ask anybody around me if anything odd happened. I get these 'brain zaps' and if I don't sit down and rest, I typically end up blacking out. This usually meant I just fell down for a few minutes. However, the other day this happened on my way to work. I remember getting onto my train at 6:45am and when I snapped out of it, it was 7:30 and I was on another random train with a coffee. I was in the middle of nowhere and my briefcase was missing with my laptop inside. Suffice to say, I ended up skipping work. It took me awhile to piece together what happened.

Has anyone else experienced events like this? I've been doing some Googling, but I can't quite find anything that matches what I went through. I find it odd that I was able to order a coffee in Japanese, walk 5 minutes to a different train, pay for a ticket, and then get on it without remembering anything. Has anyone else here experienced moments like this? Do you think that this is completely unrelated to my epilepsy? I've seen a neurologist here, but his English isn't too good and he just wants to add a third medication.

Thanks in advance.
