Goose bumps = possible seizures?

Hi there, For the past 2,5 years I've been getting plagued with sudden movements that seem to resemble myoclonic seizures. I've seen a neurologist about it (who suspected the same after hearing me describe them), and he's done an EEG, SEP, and I'm waiting for an MRI (scheduled in March) before I have my next appointment. I didn't bring this up to him then, but it's been getting worse since it started somewhere in November or December. I'm getting goose bumps a lot, regardless whether or not I'm cold/shocked/frightened/etc. It's generally a brief feeling, just the normal feeling of goose bumps that crashes over my body in waves, either starting at my shoulders/back and traveling down to my upper arms and legs, or the other way around, starting at my legs and traveling all the way up to my face. Sometimes it's just on my legs, sometimes just my arms, etc. but the full-body experience is very common. It's usually over in just a few seconds and then I feel perfectly normal/warm again (my house is always at 21C/70F). Sometimes I go for a day or two without it, sometimes I have it every few minutes for a full evening. It's a very irritating and distracting sensation that's beginning to get on my nerves. So I was just curious, is anyone familiar with this feeling? Could they be seizures or something similar? It doesn't come accompanied with anything else so I'm not sure whether to link it to my potential seizures or not, since most occurrences of pilomotor seizures I've found online also report other symptoms at the same time. (I haven't had any of the myoclonic seizures in a bit over a month now after a very intense period in September-December.) It's beginning to freak me out a bit, and when I brought it up to my regular GP this week he blew it off completely, seemingly more intent on getting me out of the door than anything else. Any response would be appreciated and thanks for reading, Cory

I've never had that experience personally. But it's something definately worth mentioning to your neurologist. Keeping track of when they happen, would probably be very helpful.

Cory, The sensation of goosebumps is common to some with Autonomic Simple Partial . Scroll down to Autonomic after clicking on the Simple Partial clickable. You may want to read the whole page since you may find other type of Simples that you feel may apply to you. Hope this helps! -Spiz
