Mon, 04/04/2016 - 22:55
My wife has juvenile myoclonic epilepsy (JME) She currently takes keppra. Over the years her memory and concentration ability have diminished. she has difficulty finding the right word and forming her thoughts. Her neurologist told us we could consider changing to vimpat or Fycompa. Does anyone have experience with any of these drugs or symptoms ?? Thanks !!

I started my Fycompa 4 months

I started my Fycompa 4 months ago and am amazed at how well it works. I have tried many  meds and a VNS but nothing controlled my daily partials like this. I know this increases the intensity of emotions so if you're sad/mad you'll feel worse but if you're happy you'll be elated! So I also make jokes and get as happy/giddy as possible to increase this-and to ward off the sad. You seem to have a very positive atttitude and I think this helps you too. The"method of action" of Fycompa is unique and may be perfect for me. I am also on other drugs too. I would like to know more about your history also. Please "reply", thank you again
