Food allergy and seizure

Sun, 01/01/2017 - 18:59
I've had seizures for over a decade. I have had MS for 24 years. Because of the autoimmune disease, I've developed a serious allergy to processed corn. Corn syrup, processed sugars, colorings, etc. Inhaled corny fragrance, medical alcohol causes anaphylaxis. Ingested, my reactions are intestinal/digestive. I ingested something "corny" and an hour later, I had a seizure. First time I seems to be good triggered. Is this actually possible or am I missing a trigger? Thank you!!

I too have seizures as a result of food allergy/intolerance. Ive had to stop eating many foods due to this. After a while I was down to a very limited diet and finally the seizures were almost gone. When I moved back to my home country before christmas, I had to eat new foods although i tried to find foods close to what I used to eat - and the seizures are worse again. I am still not diagnosed and have to start all over again with neurologists. Doctors have been focusing on my abdominal symptoms, diagnosing me with IBS - but I think the problem starts in the brain.

I also have other triggers to my seizures. Photo/lightsensitivity, having my period, vaping/smoking and having the flu seems to progress them.
