Hi I am afraid I do not know for sure about the fire service but I do know that you can not be a paramedic or in the armed forces if you have epilepsy. Have you tried ringing the local fire department recruiting office to see what they say. Sorry I don't think I have been much help do take care though from Honeybear

Hi davey , im also a uk resident the problem is the view taken in the uk over elipepsy . People dont like us and are frightened directly the word epilepsy is mentioned as for joining the fire service at the present time I would say the chances are negligable -Sorry- this is due to working shifts. But i dont know where you live why not get your doctor to arrange a visit to Kings College (London )Neurological Dept (EU Clinic Status )
