HI PEOPLE MY NANE IS STEVE IM NEW TO THIS WEBSITE. IVE HAD EPILEPSY FOR 30 YEARS NOW. I WAS WONDERING IF ANYBODY KNOWS IF THERE CLOSE TO FINDING A CURE? OR IF THERE EVEN IS ONE? HOPE TO HEAR FROM SOMEBODY. THANK YOU (TAKE CARE ALL)

Hi Steve, As yet, there is no cure for E. (Excepting the very few types of childhood E which are outgrown) However, today, 3/4 of those with E are completely controlled on meds, plus even a very small % of those with uncontrollable partial E can have operations. At the bottom of this page, to the right, (under 'Listen Live') there is an interesting taped interview about this subject and current US research in this area. hope that helps, ~sol

How long have E and I been together? Eons!! I had surgery last year and now I'm s-l-o-w-l-y working my way off them (outside a hospital) for the first time in my entire life. ~sol
