is feeling numbness in half body seizures?

Topic: Living With Epilepsy - Adults

It only happening when im waking up from sleeping during night. I feeling numbness and allmost paralyzed in my left bodyparts and sometimes only my left arm. And sometimes i waking up of have done something without knowing it, and Come to my self staring at the wall sitting in the bed or standing on the floor. Is this seizures too? And i also have a mild dysfunchtion in my right temporal lobe brain.

I also have to say the numbness only last in max 10 seconds. IT ofte happends more than 1 times during night.

Hi Monica They sound like they could be seizures. I have focal seizures which are also short in time mine are 2-8 seconds long. Thet affect my right hand. It feels wierd (could be numbing feeling) or I can't move them. The scared brain tissue is on my left lobes and that side of the brain controls the right side of the body. If I were you and I wanted an answer to this issue I would be calling my neurologist. The answer could be answered in a call if you have a good relationship with your neuro. I hope this helps and you get teh assistance you need

It could be. I sometimes have episodes where my left arm tingle as if it is falling asleep and then spasms (it feels like my tricep is going to break out of my skin). A few minutes after my left half goes numb and I get waves of tingle from the top of my head to my feet until I fall asleep. I'll sometimes wake up in different rooms, on the floor, etc. My doctor says it HAS to be a heart thing, but behold the heart monitor I was on for 6 months showed nothing. The way I feel before and after tells me it is the epilepsy. Sorry to ramble, but I believe it could be seizures.
