Epilepsy specialist ?

Wed, 02/04/2015 - 20:14

After years, I finally have an appointment with a seizure specialist. I have been to countless Neurologists and Internests, but never a seizure specialist. Anyone have experience with this sort of doctor?

A neurologist can work on

A neurologist can work on anything stemming from the central nervious system, The tean of neurologists I have been using since 1970 has been great. When they went into their specaities I was out of state and after comming back I needed to get assistance. I went to my old neuroligist and he did handle me for a coulpe of months. He told me I needed to see another neurologist and refered me to that specialist. He had gone int o Parkensons as his speciality. SO he had sent me to a specialist in epilepsy. I am now with the same group of neurologists and the ones that specialize in epilepsy. I also know that within this group there are a few that do the drug studies. I have had questions and I get answers to them from several of the 5  that are there. My original diagnosis was done by neurologists back in the early 1960's. I had no problems dealing with then and they did help get my seizures under control. To me I could see no difference. My current neurologist specializes in epilepsy but he has also assisted with other patients with other illnesses stemming from the central nervious system. Oh and a specialist with kids has asked for his assistance  nad her speciality is not epilepsy. I think it might be AD/HD
