Epilepsy and School

Mon, 05/12/2014 - 01:41

I'm a 29 year old female with juvenile myoclonic epilespy. I recently graduated from law school and am preparing to retake the bar. It feels impossible because of my memory problems and overall cognitive abilities. I survived law school because I had accomodations and a huge support system via my family, friends, Dr. and the school itself. I feel like passing the bar just demands too much from my body. I had VNS surgery nearly 4 years ago, but it hasnt been overly effective. My myoclonus which were relatively well controlled are now working in overdrive and Im not sure how I can get things to calm down while also putting in the time and effort required to study for the bar. Im just wondering if any of you went to graduate school and how you were able to manage the difficulties that accompany the disability. Thanks.
