EEG botched?

Fri, 08/19/2016 - 15:51
I hope this is the right spot f not I am sorry, as well as for any spelling/grammar I am still half asleep. I know it's a little long but I am not sure my EEG went right and was looking for opinions also wondering if the light flash test sounded normal to you guys as it was brushed off by the lady. So I had a 24 hour sleep deprivation EEG today (My son had a 24 hour one so I am somewhat familiar with them) Anyway Upon arrive they changed my "hour long" test to only 30 min's. I have these weird muscle or joint/nerve? Thing going on where I stiffen lock, twist with hands on piano key sometimes doing repetitive motion. I tried to explain to the lady doing the EEG that I can't sit as still as shed like because i was having locking flare up and bad vertigo(thanks to no sleep)I tried really hard though. She used the paste but right from the start it didn't want to work 3 kept falling off, after blaming it on my amount of hair she then said my had MUST b sweating then said it was cause I was moving. I told her I was sorry I can't stop the lock thing but she just got mad I also told her it was hard for me to relax in the chair as my lower spine has problems and it was burning in the position I was in. She wanted me to fall asleep within the 30min's which I can't do even on my BEST day. So yet another thing sh got mad at! Said I had to keep my eyes closed the WHOLE time I was not allowed to move (which i failed out not like i moved all around mostly arm and leg locks nothing dramatic) And got mad whenever I had to blink or rub my eyes, i mean i couldn't sleep and dizzy as hell I would have calmed down more if she let me open my eyes OR at least let me open them sometimes as that would probably help me drift off... I mean being forced to keep them shut no blinking or if her way moving at all is NOT gonna help me sleep. So speeding up test at the nd she did the light flash thing while I kept my eyes closed. At first I thought it was kinda amazing I didn't know the lights could make colydiscope(sp?) patterns so clear with my eyes closed. Soon it became very uncomfortable I started to sweat really bad and go a little numb, then I burst out in tears while it was going.... I don't know why I cried but it annoyed the person doing it even though I said sorry. Well it was after the flash test I finally felt sleepy a,d dream like (then I realized my right arm was heavy and odd feeling, I couldn't lift it for a few) I was able to answer the president question stuff but I felt so out of it, my voice was flat and emotionless mono tone like, I honestly guessed the year but was right. Right after that she ripped off the test while my arm was numb I tried to tell her how I felt but she was like "oh now your tired?" in a it's too late like voice. I stumbled out of the room and as we walked I almost went into the side wall face first cause in my vision it looked like a open hall but it was a flat wall (to me it was a bend until I got on it then saw it was flat >. The hall room looked like it was flashing still but I tried to ignore it and then... I had one of my "stare offs" Where I lock like I said above only i can't do much but stare off sometimes I can hear the person but just can't answer and 99% the time I forget half what they said. All I know is when it hit I burst-ed out crying graved the lady in a hug started locking and staring off. I tried to answer when she said to walk to leave but my legs felt really heavy. I remember her getting mad and as I came out (probably lasted like 30 seconds not as bad as the ones I have at home)She phoned for them to bring my dad back sayong I was having a "anxiety attack" However this was one of the main symptoms the different psychiatrist said did not fit anything to there field and that I need to see a neurologist or something All I know is I was half in and out like leaving a party drunk, you remember some thongs, can't make clear decisions, can't walk really without help, It really felt like I was halfway into another world. Most off this subsided as I got to the car. The nurse said how i flt at the end of test was normal and what happened in the hall when leaving she didn't care just wanted the "psych" patent off he I guess. I wish I was in the lucid mind at the time to tell her to keep me on the machine after the light test for a few mins (not like she would have she was DONE) But I was half way loopy and just wanted to lay on the floor. Anyway throughout the entire test 3 of my electrodes came off every 5 to 10 mins, Should I trust the reliability of the test results when they come in? Or does t sound botched to you? I would think if the 3 were troublesome she could have just used glue o oly those 3 but instead she just moaned (she said I probably had nothing wrong with me before the test started anyway so I don't think she cared if it was on that much.) Was that a normal reaction the the light flash? The colors and shaped I saw with my eyes close and the numbing sweat followed buy sudden uncontrolled crying? As it was dismissed by her. What would anyone suggest? Like should i gt the test redone or just trust whatever this one say's when I get the results? I doubt seizure cause I look nothing like my son ( I was thinking MS cause my psych kept bringing that up) However i do have wired deja vu, stare offs, rarely tremors (which i did a little in the hall now that I think of it)a odd bunch of feelings before I lock like the deja vu, nausea, increased vertigo, voice tone changes/hearing/vision changes, random extreme tiredness especially after some of these things, wet head feeling like warm water is running down (that one and room distortion followed by head zaps with numbing sensation radiating to face is a sign I'm probably gonna stare and need to sit) I will add when I get the extreme tiredness or any other mood change/voice change usually with a hour or so it will all be back to normal like nothing happened. Thank you for reading and for any advice about how my EEG went down and your guys opinions on it!

flashing lights is generally a part in all the EEG's I have had. I longer EEG can bring out more information. So it this EEG comes back normal you need to ask for a longer one. You also need to be seeing a neurologist in epilepsy because most of the issues you mentioned could be parts of seizures
