Dumb question. Wrong tense, mental fog?

Tue, 10/31/2006 - 14:43
I know the whole mental fog thing is relatively common. I've been around here long enough to be able to read things and go "Oh gosh, do I ever know how that feels!" ;) I guess what I'm looking for is a little bit of a cyber hand-squeeze to let me know that this is "normal" (or as normal as can be expected). Do you find in your mental fog that you frequently use the wrong tense, using the past tense in referring to the future and the present tense in the past or future tense in the present? Just wondering. I edit myself a lot to make more sense, but I find I need to read everything I send with a fine-toothed comb.

Boy, do I know how you feel today! I re-read my post from earlier and saw I used the word "two" instead of the word "to". I find some days I also have a lot of trouble with tense and leaving words out in general. Thank god for spell check, even if it can't catch them all! Kelly

I have to be much more concious of what I say write and read, I sometimes use the wrong word, once I told my daughter I was going to take a nap, Sammi looked at me funny and told me I had said "I'm going to take a slap". I also get my tenses mixed up as well.
