Tegertol cut off

Tue, 07/20/2004 - 09:25
Hi there I am now only on 1 tablet left of tegertol. I have been on 1200mg of them I was cutting down half a tablet a month. I half only one half to go and I'm done them all. I will be on only keppra and topamax. Has anyone else been cutting off of this drug because I have noticed. I've been on the go doing things like I would not do before. Thats the good thing the bad part of this is going out with friends don't want to bother with them at this time I am not a person like that ever. I have quit smoking about a month ago now and I thought at first the zyban would be doing this. My DR. said my meds are high up so the zyban won't cause any troubles. The only other problem with this med cutting off of it is just a little snappy with people the odd time and that is at night only. Please help me anyone on this thanks..

I'm switching from Nuerontin to Keppra and have noticed a change in attitude. There are several posts over at the EFA website about Keppra if you're interested.

When I read your post and se the amount of Tegretol you are , were, on I am amazed. I was put on that, years ago. The most I took was 10 mg. Now I understand why it didn't work. Because it didn't control the seizures the doctors said there was nothing wrong with me. Even this tiny bit of information helps. Thank you.
