My Nephew is Hilarious!!!!!! :)

So I was talking to my nephew about me going in the hospital soon regarding epilepsy surgery. My nephew is very smart and intelligent for his age. He's only 11 years old. When I told him that, he looked at me in a weird kind of funny way and said, "Oh, that's cool." I asked him, "How do you feel about that?" He responded, "If it will stop your seizures then go ahead and go through with it auntie." And we just went on and on talking about how I had a seizure in front of him and told him to go and get my mother and tell her. He was scared out of his flipping mind. He never in his life seen me have a seizure. He only seen me when I had the probes stuck to my head when I was in the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit. He asked me if I was robot. I laughed sooo hard. I was making all types of robotic noises and stuff. It made me smile. He's such a crazy little boy and I love him to death.

It makes me feel like my nephew is starting to understand me more and my medical condition. He asked me what actually happens during my seizures and I said, "Well.... in a nutshell

1. I feel a sudden urge of anxiety as if butterflies are in my stomach.

2. My heart begins to beat really fast.

3. Then, I turn my head to the right and I start seeing flashing lights in my right eye.

4. At times, I do shake my head back and forth and rub my fingers together.

5. Then, IT'S OVER. POOF!

He said, "Dang, auntie. Are you for real? That's how they are? I feel kind of bad."

I told him not to feel bad for me. I don't like people feeling bad for me. It makes me feel like they are giving me pity points lol. I just want to feel loved and accepted. You know?

It was a special moment for me and I loved every minute of it. It truly showed me how important my family is to me and how I can come to them for anything. :)

Yay for supportive families mine means the world to me too. All though I'm not facing the same challenges as you, I do know know it feels like to be felt sorry for..... and i hate it. The more people understand the less this will happen, I hope
