I am a adult w/ epilepsy that is not controlable.  I can say that emotional/mood problems ARE PART OF THE DIDEASE-NOT THE PERSON! This isNOT a disease caused by the patient----it is a cancer put upon a person! The chemicals in a brain are off and the signals are off so when a person who wants to do something and these dam factors keep getting the way-they themselves get frustrated..moods change ect....in a cancer patient this would be seen as "normal expected response to a uncontroled disease" !!!!!!  but.... to see a epileptic with these changes, the world (inc. families) seem to be blind vs sympothetic!!  That then sends this person into a "fit of anger and hurt" (normal for any other disease that is mis-understood). With ANY DISEASE "UNDERSTANDING" SHOULD BE A GIVEN!!  TO HARASS THAT PERSON WHO HAS NO CONTROL IS ONLY CREATING  NEW DISEASES...ANGER/FRUSTRATION/LOW SELF ESTEEM/MOVING INTO VIOLENCE-DRUGS-ALCOHOL=OR EVEN SUICIDE!!!

If you want to know  what to do...erase your views of what "epilepsy" is and place it with all the uncontrolable diseases  and look "outside the box" that if it was you--what would you be criing for!

This disease is in the BIBLE and the people back then were rough on the boy having seizures call it a "DEMOND" SHAMING THEIR FAMILIES AND CAUSING MORE PAIN.  JESUS HIMSELF TOLD THE COMMUNITY TO BACK OFF AND TOLD THE DICIPLES

"IT IS YOUR FAITH THAT IS WEAK"  NOT THE BOYS! MARK 9:17-29

JESUS SAID IN MARK 9:29 THE CURE:  "THIS KIND CAN BE CURED BY   PRAYER AND FASTING"....BY THE PEOPLE AROUND THE BOY!!!NOT THE UNCONSIOUS BOY!

THIS MEANS THE "COMMUNITY AND FAMILIES DUTIES ARE SUPPORT/PRAYERS/FAITH/CARING!"  TRY THIS CURE VS ACCUSING OF DEMONS!

If I sound "angry and argumentive" then you just heard from your child via another persons mouth!

I hope you and others with this issue hear this SHOUT from 99% of all epileptices in the worlds of 2000+ years!Aids and other modern diseases have a better support system...why not a disease that is more than 2000 years old and NOT INFICLED ON A PERSON BY HIMSELF (IE;DRUG USE/SEXUAL HABITS/DRINKING ECT)

(DID GOD PUT ME THRU  THIS DISEASE SO I COULD SHOUT WITH TRUE UNDERSTANDING OF THE COLD/VIOLENT WORLD TWARDS A INOCIENT PERSON?)(IF SO, I HOPE HE IS PROUD OF MY WORDS/SHOUTING!!)   I WILL PRAY FOR EARS AND EYES TO BE OPENED!  KAY

kayw, Please don't take this the wrong way but please stop with all the bright colors in your posts. It hurts my eyes, my head and could cause a seizure. I don't feel it was your intention in the least, but please! -Spiz

hi

i am the parent whom started this conversation

i did not mean to offend anyone, i love my daughter very much and i have taken care of her and i always will

some one posted i do treat her like a child sometimes but most of the time i treat her like an adult with limitations

she has lived on  her own with her  husband and children but he could not handle someone who had a problem so he took the kids and ran  she see's the kids every other weekend thats what keeps her going

then she tried to live by herself in an apt that did not work she got hurt to many times from the falls and now she is  33 yrs old and has to live with Mom

she is depressed alot of the time because you see in houston there is not anywhere like a day center she can attend she has to look at wall  and tv 24/7 because i  have to work

so i am sorry if i may have offended any one my heart goes out to every one
