Amy, our son Kurt had bronchiolitis at 6 months and was hospitlized for it, he now has what they call Viral Induced Asthma. It can take up to 6 week for the lungs to heal afterwards, which makes the kids very prone to recurrence due to the weakening. Kurt takes Xopanex and Orapred, the Xopanex seems to be make him a little less hyper than the Albuterol. He is not quite 2 and we had another bout of it this spring and now I keep the meds on hand, so we don't have to rush to ER when he's having a hard time breathing.Keep a mister in his room. That can help.Leslie
