Flying in an airplane

Wed, 07/21/2004 - 11:49
I am a 35 year old female, former school principal. I am on Tegretol 1200 mg daily. I now have warning that it is coming and get onto oxygen which has made a world of difference. I recently had to fly on an airplane, which I have done many times. This time, first time since I was diagnosed, and thought I was going to die. My head felt so much pressure, the pain from the loud noises, the speed of the pane. I wanted to scream. I had to take 4 planes and it only seemed to get worse. Now someone is trying to force me to attend a legal issue(from my job)as a witness. The stress of even getting on another flight has kicked off seizures. Where can I get documentation to support that I can not get on a flight? Has anyone else gone through this also?

I have been on tegretol for a long time and flew many times, and it has not bothered me. If this has only happened once I would make sure it was not something else. I can understand the fear though.
