Co worker with Epilepsy

Fri, 11/04/2011 - 10:47

I was informed by my hiring manager that my Assistant (who I inherited as staff) has epilepsy and was embarassed about it, was not comfortable letting people know.

It is controlled w/ medication and they've never witnessed a full seizure.  I noticed the other day when chatting in her office with her about a work issue she was unusually jumpy and possibly having/fighting some type of seizure (sorry just reading up on it so unsure how to explain what she was experiencing). Her arms twitched uncontrollably several times. I don't want to ignore it but I also don't want to her think I don't care or wouldn't be willing to help. What should I do or say? Is she aware she's having these? Not sure how to address it. Any advice would be great.
