Tonic Clonic seizure with FULL consciousness

Tue, 09/26/2017 - 10:53
I have JME Epilepsy (Juvenile Myoclonic Epilepsy) and have had it since childhood. I usually have my seizures in the morning upon waking up. I'm currently on Epilim, Keppra, and Lamotrigine twice a day. I have always lost consciousness during a seizure but this morning I did not. I fell off my chair and went into a conscious Tonic Clonic seizure which was obviously extremely frightening for me as I was completely alone and never experienced this. Afterwards I was breathless and having a complete panic attack, stumbling around the house and trying to randomly open the front door. I calmed down after my mum arrived and recovered quickly, and had a slight headache. Has anyone else experienced this?? I should probably note that I had just started my period.
