Shivering/chills type seizure? Anxious mom!

Sat, 04/16/2016 - 11:49
My daughter age 5 has been doing this since she was 2. We have taken her to the Dr. But they always said it was nothing, they don't happen very often maybe every 5, 8 weeks. When she has this seizure it is always around 2 or 3 in the morning she wakes and says her teeth are chattering and she is freezing, she begins shivering uncontrollably for about 5 minutes. Until recently she would only have one at a time, but now they are lasting 8 minutes or more and coming in 2 or 3 at a time and every 2 weeks . She did have a reg and it was normal. They did blood work it showed inflammation, and she is due back for a 48 hr Video eeg.on the April 30. My question is does anybody have idea what type of seizure this might be? The Dr's tell me nothing and I am very anxious . I am trying to learn all I can about epilepsy so I am well informed when they give me her diagnosis. Sorry for rambling...

I found that cold shiver

Submitted by sperez2010 on Sun, 2016-04-17 - 19:13
I found that cold shiver/autonomic maybe along with simple partial. Just grasping at stri g here.  I am not sure if that what could be going on . cause she wakes up at 2 or 3 in the morning and come in my room fully aware of what is going on. I just wrap her up in blankets til it is over in about 5 to 8 minutes. She usually vomits goes back to sleep then the next day she stays home from school cause she is vomitingThe only thing is it is happening more frequently and during the daytime. I am scared it is going to happen while she is in school and I won't be there for her.another reason why I am so anxious for answers.
