The Shakes

I have a question. I have temporal lobe epilepsy and I take topamax and zonegran recently I have noticed it feels like someone has grabbed my head and is shaking it. This may last for five seconds or so. Is this a partial seizure. When i have my tonic clonic sz's sometimes they will start that way?.

No way to answer this for sure, but, if the symptoms come at the beginning of a tonic clonic seizure, then again on their own, likely that they are called simple partial seizures. All simple partial means is a seizure with a change in behavior of some sort that does not affect your consciousness or awareness. Usually the symptoms are the same whenever they occur, but may vary in how 'strong' it feels or how long it lasts. Sometimes it's hard to tell if the feeling is a seizure or not. Keep track of them on a calendar and describe them to the doctor. Here's some links to info about these and observing seizures. Hope this helps!
