SEN and epilepsy

Hi

I am new to this site, but wanted to see if I could get any help, research or information relating to special educational needs related to epilepsy and/or medication.

I am currently going through the statementing process with the LA for my 9 year old daughter who was diagnosed with childhood absence epilepsy when she was 5.  After a fairly long process (since May last year) the LA agreed to assess for a statement on 10 January.

In readiness for the next stage of the "fight" I need to get some information together as supporting evidence.  I wonder:

 a) Has anyone else been in this situation?

b) Where is the best place to go to get hard evidence?

c) Is there anything else I can do?

All help and comments would be greatly appreciated.
