seizure vs syncope

My daughter had what appeared to be seizures two yrs ago. Her symptoms cry out my stomach and then completely go limp then come to answer to her name only not responding to any other verbal communication and then vomiting and being very pale n color both before and after. Now two years later another sequence of events, first being totally asleep and all of a sudden stiffening snorting flatulence, coming to only to respond again to her name and then vomit. She took a shower acted fine for approx 45min to 1 hr only to say she was going to vomit, vomit and then go into a tonic posture with elbow drawn up body stiff eyes dilated and then to relax still completely out of it and then vomit. After being at the hospital for only two hrs being discharged with the diagnosis of gastroentritis. Get home and she said I am going to throw up and lay on the floor only to get stiff and loose control of her bladder come to and vomit. Any one with any insight to this type of activity please respond. I am a nurse and I say these are seizures but I have been told they are syncope, stomach flu etc. Please help!!!!!
