Is this a nocturnal seizure?

Wed, 11/30/2016 - 02:09
I was diagnosed with juvenile myoclonic epilepsy at 21, but my first seizure was at 19. I know that I have full on seizures in my sleep on occasion when I'm really stressed or really tired, but on occasion something happens in my sleep and I was hoping for some opinions before I go back to the doctor. It happens in a light sleep and it feels like my mind is awake but I can't make my body wake up with my mind. My eyes and jaw jerk, but I don't think my entire body is moving. I know that I'm awake, but I can't get up. Usually I fall back asleep and then wake up normally, but I'm always sore and exhausted the next day. The next morning I had to go to the doctor for tonsillitis and I did have a fever. Was this a seizure or could it be something else?
