New Tools - Blog and Community Forum Tagging

There's a new feature on my.epilepsy.com called TAGGING. In case you're like me and don't know what tags are, here's a brief intro.

Tags are keywords that help summarize the main idea in a blog or forum message. By entering a few single-word tags when you create a post, you can categorize or highlight the topics you address in the post. These tags will help users easily find the content.

So how does this work? If you are writing an entry about a seizure at work, scroll down to the section on "Add new tags". Write in the words or tags you want to use - such as seizure, work, or coworkers. Then hit ENTER, then SUBMIT the post! If you don't hit ENTER first, the tags won't get attached.

People can find content of interest based on keywords that they are interested in. One way of finding tag-based content is through the traditional - search tool. These results appear in the second tab, "Content tags only".

Another way to find the most popular content on the site is through the tag cloud . The tag cloud lists the tags throughout the website in alphabetical order and then adjusts the most popular in this category to a larger font size. User can then click on any tag to see a list of all blogs and forum posts that address the tag selected.
