My first seizure! Scared to death.
Sat, 04/04/2015 - 10:18Here it goes.. Last night i smoked a couple of Marijuana joints (bad habit i know) alone, and watching some youtube (sitting on a chair). A couple of hours went by and i was ready to go to sleep. So i stand up, to empty the ash tray and other stuff. From here on its a bit vageu.
I seem to drop to my knees, and my hands were on top of my head(not aware that this happend). The next thing is i am in a seizure. My vision goes blank or atleast static. And directly this seizure like shaking (to all sides) is happening to me which i was conciouse of. *i was on my knees between 3 objects, one above my head, one object to the right and one on the left*
I was conciouse in this shaking (stage) of the head ( i think im not sure if it really happend or if it was a hallucination), in the first 5 seconds of awereness i freaked out and i was telling myself: * Dont hit yourself! , Dont hit the thing above you! , freaked out basicly. Then i realised in order to stop hitting myself i need to become calm, so i then calmed myself in the next 5 seconds which seemed to work and i got out of the seizure.
So, at this point i didnt realise how i dropped on my knees at the place, or for how long i was in seizure and whether i hit my head! I was so scared that i have hit my head, and that this seizure would damage my brain!
After the seizure i slowly try to stand up, i look in the mirror and all i see is my face being so, so pale. I looked as a dead body and i am not joking, ive never seen anything looking worse then i was at that point. Next thing i looked at my fingernails are blue, and i am very very cold.
The next halfhour to an hour i recoverd, then went to sleep.
I m so scared, its the next day now i feel the trauma of the shock. I am very afraid that i have had brain damage that would impair me. Please tell me that brain damage is litle in a case like this? Aslo, what happend?!
Thank you all, sorry for the disturbance of not a loyal forum member. But help me as a fellow human. Well, i am going to have a driving lesson now, and im scared as ... ohh yeah im 21 years old.. and never experienced something like this.

Brain damage???? Did you question brain damage when you were in a car accident?? Or after you fell and hit the ground? Now I am no doctor bu I don't think you had any brain damage.You do need to see a doctor regarding this issue since It could be a seizure. First start with your regular doctor. If he think your need to go forward he can refer you to a neurologist that can help you.Now as for comming to this forum.. It isn't for people who use it to talk to each other. It is here to answer questions like the one you brought in. I saw it when I came in to get the My Epilepsy Diary. I erad a question someone had and I had an answer for that person. So I have to come i daily to put info in my diary and then I check the forum to see if I have dealt with issues some people are seeing for th first time. In other words if you have a question then bring it here there are others here that will try and asist you with answers. I hope this helps and yo uget the assistance you need Joe
