My EEG Results

I need some help understanding my EEG. The results state: "The record was characterized by a well develped, symmetric 9-10 Hz posterior dominant rythym that attenuted equally with eye-opening and alerting procedures. Generalized irregular theta is seen throughout the recording. Generalized theta and decreased alpha rythms were seen during drowsiness. Approximately smymmetric vertex sleep activity was seen during periods of light sleep. Hyerperventilation and photic stimulation produced little change. Impressions were: abnormal EEG. Any ideas what significance this may have?

Here's a link to EEG that may help explain some of this. Best to take report into doctor and let them explain what means in your situation. Some waveforms are considered abnormal if they occur during certain parts of an EEG.
