Low-grade fevers and seizures

Sun, 12/11/2016 - 01:33
I am wondering if anyone has a low-grade fever before or after a seizure. I have temporal lobe epilepsy and will have simple partial and complex partial seizures. Usually either before or after a seizure I will have a low grade fever. This usually happens at least once a day, sometimes more. It wipes me out and I have to sleep. Once I wake up, the fever is gone. Is this common or should I be looking for a different cause? Thanks!

I know that a fever will

I know that a fever will increase the likelihood of a seizure and can make them more severe. Not familiar with having a fever afterwards. Just don't know. I have grand mal seizures and due to the total body muscle convulsions I am hotter than before the seizure. Hope this helps; at least a little.
