Epilepsy cannot be caused by any outside influences. Seizures can be caused by outside influences, which is completely seperate from epilepsy. Epilepsy is a condition caused by increased electrical activities in the brain and occur frequently over a very long time span. Outside influences that can cause seizures are things such as head injuries, side effects of certain medications (not anti-seizure meds) and large doses of illegal drugs (such as cocaine, mushrooms, meth..so on and so on. Basically amphetamines and hallucinogens. I hope this helps.
