Can you lose chunks of your memory longterm from seizures?

Wed, 02/08/2017 - 00:25
So this is a little weird but I'm actually the epileptic, yet my boyfriend is the one I'm concerned about. He had a seizure tonight that I believe was stress induced considering how horrible his week was last week. He has had a major head injury in the past, but never had seizure issues before. But tonight when he had his seizure he woke up with some memory issues too. He couldn't remember anything from the past week. He looked around at all the clocks and looked at me in horror when I told him what day it was. He was under the impression that it was still January 27th. I'm wondering if anyone knows if this is going to end up being permanent for him or if he could gradually regain his memory. I told him to rest for now and see how he felt in the morning but I'm still worried about him. I've had plenty of seizures where I've lost my memory prior to the seizure, but never more than a few hours. I just don't know what to do but worry and wait..
