Applying for Disabilty

Mon, 06/16/2014 - 12:46

I have had epilepsy all my life, and it runs in the family.  I have many times tried to apply for disability to be denied.  As with many people it is hard to hold employment after getting injured on the job, or having an episode at home and having to miss a couple days to recuperate.

I need advice or suggestions on how to go about applying for assistance.

I read your post and you do have pertenant questions which can or need to be answered. However you did not give us much to work with. Just because epilepsy runs in th family that does not mean your epilepsy is because it runs in the family. Does everybody in the family have epilepsy?  You did not post the kinds of seizures you have nor did you post the medications you are using/ Those would help with alswers. As for being denied disability you need to check on the regulations written into the laws since those regulations have to be upheld. hard to hold employment after getting injured on the job,   or having an episode at home and having to miss a couple days to recuperate.  When I did lose my job it was during the recession. There were few jobs to be found and I knew I was going to lose my unemployment I checked other ways to get benefits. I knew that filing for disability was not go thru the first, or second time. I went to Binder and BinderThe listened to me and tyed in everything I said and I had someone with me. They got all my doctors names and phone numbers. I left without knowing what would happen. # months later I was getting infprmation from the state offices. So check with them
